One star off since not Velcro adjustableI bought these sandals because they’re very similar to the Mephisto discontinued style, Elna, which was essentially the same shoe with a lower heel - and the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever owned. I have a very high instep and usually wear a wide shoe, but I just loosened the instep straps one notch and they’re perfect. The foot-bed on this sandal is very comfortable. I will also mention that I wear a 7.5 shoe and the size 8 in these shoes (EU 38) fits me perfectly but with no room to spare. If you wear a size 8, the 8 in these sandals will probably be too short. The size chart on the bottom of the Mephisto box is different from vendor size charts. I gave the sandals four stars because because the higher, narrower heel (than the Elna) is not quite as stable on me. Nvertheless, the shoes are still very comfortable and nice looking.Expensivethe length could be a wee bit longer for me although I've bought several of this brand and they fit perfectly.Mephisto flat sandals are true to size. All of the wedges run narrow though - these have the comfort to them, but very narrow in the toes.I love the fitI needed for being on my feet at work. Love the style. Beautiful shoe. But they do not stay securely on my feet when I walk. And I walk constantly at work.Great purchaseAlthough, it looks great and the sole of this sandal is very comfortable, my heels slide off toward the inside edge. This makes it difficult to walk very far or fast in them.
